The Armada Cup - Switzerland

25-27th October 2007

At the end of half term, a select group of the Senior Squad were invited to The Armada Cup in Switzerland. This is arguably the most famous single sculls race in the world that involves 220 scullers (some of which are Olympic Athletes) having to row 9km to the start. There is then a mass start of 220 sculls after which they then race 9km back to the finish (a feat in itself). Congratulations to Lottie Howard-Merrill who completed the course in 41 minutes, 58 seconds, to record a second place in the Junior Event.

Congratulations to Maud Van Den Broecke who was 4th, Phoebe Cowen who was 6th, Claire Innes was 11th, and Kea Schneider who ranked 14th.
