Henley Royal Regatta 2022
This year Henley Royal Regatta was held between the 29th of June and 3rd of July.
Two crews were entered and the eight was prequalified for the Prince Philip Challenge Trophy and the quad were prequalified for the Diamond Jubilee Challenge Cup.
Racing for HSOBC began on the Wednesday with the eight, consisting of Alice, Phoebe , Emma, Amelia, Louise, Mia, Issie and Sophie, racing Eniskillen who they took an early lead from and won convincingly against.
On the Thursday both the eight and the quad raced in back to back races. The eight were up against Winter Park crew from the USA. In a well fought and very close race Winter Park just took the win to progress to the Saturday.
The quad consisting of Mia, Lucy, Isobel and Sophie raced next and were up against Trentham Boat club. The very young crew consisted of one J15, two J16s and a J17. Despite a very well steered line by J16 Mia at bow Trentham took the win.
