Very well done to Issie who together with her team mates, won two gold medals at this weekends Munich International Junior Regatta. The event is incredibly tough with crews from all over Germany (this is used as their trials platform), Ukraine, Poland, the Czech Republic & Switzerland to name a few.
On the Saturday Issie raced in a composite pair with a girl from Aberdeen. They established an early lead. The Germans mounted a mid race attacks to try close the gap which Issie and Zoe held off to win by a convincing margin over the 2000m race course.
On the Sunday, the GB Women’s 4- was made up of three girls from Scotland and Issie. The early sprint to 500m saw the crew taking a very narrow lead. It was however the middle 1000m which saw the four move to take a strong lead over their German counterparts to take the win by 10seconds.
This is a fantastic achievement and everyone at HSOBC is hugely proud of Issie!
