Dear Parents and Guardians,

Henley Women's Regatta (HWR) is one of the premier events of the season for HSOBC. HWR is run over approximately 1500m on the River Thames from Temple Island to Remenham Club and produces some of the highest quality racing of the year.

There will be no rowing training for any 6th form girls who are not racing at HWR over the weekend nor for any crews who do not progress at any stage and so do not end up racing on a particular day (unless specifically arranged by/with their coach).

The Draw

Headington have entered crews into the following events:

1 sculler into the the Di Ellis Trophy for Junior single sculls

2 crews into the Rayner Cup for Junior double sculls

2 crews into the Groton School Challenge Cup for Junior coxed fours

3 crews into the Bea Langridge Trophy for Junior quadruple sculls

1 crew into the Peabody Cup for Junior eights

The time trials for all events will take place on the morning of Saturday 20th June (see itinerary below) with the fastest sixteen crews going forward into the side by side racing which starts on Saturday afternoon.

The race schedule for the whole regatta each day can be downloaded on the event website.

The draw will also be updated on the event website throughout the regatta as results of each race are published.

Transport

Transport will be provided for crews each day of the regatta however as transport plans will be dictated by which HSOBC crews progress through each round. The exact departure timings for each crew each day will be communicated to rowers on the preceding evening.

If you are planning on bringing your daughter directly to the regatta at any stage rather than use school transport please ensure that she is on site two hours before her earliest race time unless otherwise agreed with her coach.
