Hammersmith Head Race Report

The 18th of February saw the first race for Headington since September and, much more excitingly, the first race since the move to the new boathouse. Despite a very stressful week of waiting to see if the event would join a long list of cancellations, 4 HSOBC boats raced down the course on Sunday. Unfortunately, conditions meant that the J15s were unable to race.

Headington had two eights and two quads entered into J18 and J16 categories. The eights, one competing in the J18 category and the other in the J16, saw impressive 1st and 3rd placements, respectively. The two J18 quads placed 1st and 6th. All crews were excited to show their speed over the 4.5km course and display the hard work they have been putting in at the gym and Dorney Lake over the winter months.

A massive well done to everyone and we’re looking forward to seeing some more racing over the next few months!
